We are happy to announce that we have resumed the in-person meetings since April, 2022.
As you may know, several Coronavirus variants that are very contagious are still spreading. For those who are fully vaccinated and get infected, the disease may be less severe, but the risk of developing long-term effects still exists. We have established some rules to protect you and everyone else who will be sharing the same space during our meetings. These rules may be revised as the circumstances change.

The following rules will apply until further notice:

• All AKSS workers will be wearing masks at all times
• We ask everyone present to wear masks (type surgical, N-95 or KN-95) at all times while inside the room. Please do not wear cloth masks.
• We also encourage you all to get vaccinated against Covid.
• Eating will not be allowed at any time inside the room

Our current meeting schedule is:
Monday Mediumship Study Meeting: will not start until further notice
Monday Public Meetings (in Portuguese): Monday at 8:00 pm
Family, Youth, and Children Spiritist Education (FYCSE) Thursday at 7:00 pm. Classes will be in Summer recess starting on June 23rd and re-starting on September 1st.
Thursday Public Meetings (in English): Thursday at 8:15 pm

The meetings are held at the Tilden Woods Park Facility, located at 6800 Tilden Lane, Rockville, MD 20852 (See directions below).

It also might help to read a personal account of the consequences of suicide for the spirit after the death of the body.  In Memoirs of a Suicide the spirit author recounts the horrors he experienced for many years in the valley of the suicides in the spirit world, followed by his rescue and long treatment also in the spirit world.   There he prepares to reincarnate to experience the same afflictions that prompted him to take his life, attesting to the fact that ending one’s physical life does not remove the problems – they are only postponed to a future reincarnation.
