Welcome to AKSS of Maryland
Starting in the late 80s as a small family study group, it was officially incorporated in 1992 and granted tax-exempt status in 1993 under regulation 501(c)(3).
The Allan Kardec Spiritist Society of Maryland will be very pleased to receive your visit, and invites you and your family to attend its weekly public meetings, in Portuguese on Mondays, in English on Thursdays. In both languages, Spiritism is explained through (1) the sequential presentation of the 1019 questions from The Spirits' Book, as codified by Allan Kardec, and which are the basis for the Spiritist Doctrine, and (2) to readings from The Gospel According to Spiritism, a work that explains the ministry and teachings of Jesus in the light of the Spiritist Doctrine. In both our public meetings we also conduct a session of passes.
Mission Statement
The Allan Kardec Spiritist Society has been created to promote the study and practice of the Spiritist Doctrine, as codified by Allan Kardec, and to benefit the underprivileged without regard to race, color, or creed.
