The joy of prayer

“All of you who want to believe, come! The celestial spirits are here to announce great things! Children, the divine treasury is open and God is giving out precious gifts. O unbelieving humanity! If only you knew how much good faith can bring to your hearts and how much it can inspire the soul to mend its ways and to pray! Prayer! How moving words are when they are uttered by the lips of someone in prayer! Prayer is the divine dew that puts out the fire of desires. It is the darling child of faith, shepherding you along the path to God. In those moments of silent meditation and solitude, you are with God; The mysteries of life are unveiled to you. Apostles of the mind, life is meant for you. Your soul is free to sail to infinite and ethereal realms of which most humanity is as yet unaware.
March forward! March along the path of prayer and you’ll hear the voices of the angels! What harmony they make! The confused noised and harsh sounds of earth disappear, and you will hear only the lyres of archangels and the soft, sweet voices of the Seraphim- more delicate than the morning breeze as it plays among the leaves of the forest. What delights you will walk among, then! Your earthly language can’t express such bliss, it envelopes you so completely. When you pray you drink from a live and refreshing spring. Sweet voices and thrilling scents are what the soul experiences when it enters through prayers into the desires of the flesh. You too can pray, as Jesus did while taking His cross to Calvary. So take up your cross. You too will experience the soothing comfort He felt, though His was the cross of infamy. He was going to die, but only in order to live the celestial life in the abode of God.”
