Without love there is no salvation

“Children, in the precept “Without love there is no salvation,” you find the destiny of humanity, both on earth and in heaven – in earth, because once everyone is gathered beneath this banner, human beings will live in peace; in heaven, because everyone who’s practiced love will find grace in God’s eyes. This precept is the heavenly light, the beacon that will lead humanity out of life’s desert and put it on the right path to the Promised Land. It shines in heaven as a halo around the head of saintly figures, and on earth it’s engraved on the hearts of all those to whom Jesus will say, “Go to the right and receive the blessing of God.” They will be known by the radiant aura of love that surrounds them.
Nothing captures Jesus’ ideas more precisely or so well sums up humanity’s obligations as this divine precept. The Spiritist Doctrine could find no better way to affirm its roots than to adopt this precept as its highest rule, since it typifies the purest essence of the Christian experience. No one will ever go wrong embracing love as a norm for life. Dedicate yourselves, then, to understanding the real meaning behind these words. Discover for yourselves all the many ways you can practice love. Let love govern all your actions and your conscience will be your guide, not only steering you away from wrongdoing, but also sustaining you on the path of righteousness. For it is not sufficient to do no wrong, one must actively do good. Doing good necessitates a conscious act of will, while in the view of some, indifference is enough to do no wrong.
Friends, praise God for the lights of the Spiritist Doctrine. Obviously, salvation is not only for those who follow it, but it will make you into better Christians because it helps you to understand Christ. Make every effort to live it, so that your fellow human beings, seeing you do so, will recognize that the true Spiritist and the true Christian are one and the same. Everyone who is loving and charitable is a disciple of Jesus, regardless of the profession of faith.”
